Great weather and great racing! Points are
posted. Enjoy the exciting Jr Honda A Main...
Leg #2
Results
Another great car count, expecially for the Jr Honda
class! 19 Jrs were split into 3 heat groups with Richie Fenton,
Blake Bower, and Joey Frakes each taking both their heats. This set
up a super competitive main where no one ever got close to being
lapped. Fenton took the win with Frakes, Jared Cronk, and
Donovan O'Connell in hot pursuit.
In Sr Honda, Kyle Loveless
and Carlos Ramirez checked out early, but Devin Moore and Nathan Banaag
made up ground when Ramirez and Loveless battled for the lead.
Ramirez inched up, passed, and put a huge park job on Loveless to take the
lead with about 15 to go. Loveless, however, chased him back down
and motored on to the win leaving Ramirez and Banaag to battle for
second. Hunter Franklin hung tough for fourth in one of his first
races in Sr after moving up.
Jr Stock had 7 stout performers this
week. Jake Andreotti flat out dominated, taking both heats in
impressive fashion. In the main, he had to work his way to the front
twice, but once he got there the second time, it was "Hasta La Vista,
Baby." Bower, Kislingbury, and Ezell rounded out the top
four.
In Sr Stock, McCarthy bested the others in both heats,
lapping the field in second heat. That must have lit a fire under
Kyle Loveless, because after battling back and forth for 3rd early,
Loveless motored on to win the main with McCarthy and Halm waiting to
pounce if he bobbled.
In Lt Mod, Flavetta took the win.
Sponsler took a strong second despite a weight disadvantage, and McCarthy
finished 3rd.
In Lt160, McCarthy took the spot on the podium
to which he is most accustomed these days, the top one! Flavetta,
Martyn, Sponsler, and Conwright rounded out the field.
